Founding Boundfox Studios – Preparing Business Registration

Founding a company constituted under civil law (German: Gesellschaft des bürgerlichen Rechts, GbR) requires to do some paperwork before we can turn them in. The good thing is, it does not require that much paperwork because a GbR is easy to found in Germany. The necessary papers are

  • the business registration (Gewerbeanmeldung)
  • company agreement (Gesellschaftsvertrag)
  • identity card

In addition, since Chris is not living in Karlsruhe and won’t be here when Manu turns in the papers, he needs to send a signed certificate of authority (Vollmacht) and a copy of his identity card.

Last but not least, Boundfox Studios will be founded in Manu’s private apartment. To do so, he needs a statement of his landlord that he is allowed to found the company. We already have the OK from the landlord, but we’re awaiting a written statement.

It looks like everything is coming together pretty well. Hopefully, we can turn in the papers next week. After that, we need to register the company at the IHK, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. With a bit of luck, Boundfox Studios will be founded until April 1st. 🙂
